FAQs

How do I know if I should see a therapist?

We all have different reasons for starting therapy. Perhaps you’re feeling stuck or unsure, perhaps something significant has happened, or perhaps you just need a warm, accepting space to talk through what’s on your mind. However you’ve come here, deciding to begin therapy is a step of both willingness and courage.

What issues do you address in therapy?

We discuss whatever you would like to bring in the room, however big or small it may seem. I see a diverse spectrum of clients across backgrounds and areas of concern. Particular areas of interest include anxiety, high expectations / perfectionism, career, relationships of all types, navigating change, and sports performance.

How much does therapy cost?

$160 per 50 minute session.

Do you accept insurance?

I am not on any insurance panels, but I can provide you with a monthly “Superbill” that can be submitted to your insurance for potential reimbursement. You will be given a Good Faith Estimate at the start of our work together so that you will know the possible costs involved.

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?

  • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?

  • Does my plan cover services for a provider who is unlicensed and under supervision?

  • If so, how do I submit a Superbill?

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

Sometimes things come up and we need to change our plans. That’s ok. Just let me know of cancellations with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged the full cost of the appointment.

How do I get started?

Click on “Contact Me” at the top of the page. We can set up a free 15 minute call where you can share more about what you’re looking for, ask any questions, and get to know me a little better.
